Welcome to Ellsworth and Combs Traditional Academy Elementary Technology. I am Mrs. Battaglia and I look forward to seeing your children in class. I have been teaching since 1994. I received my BA of Education at Northern Arizona University and a Masters in Technology Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. I have taught Middle School 6th-8th grade Special Education, 5th grade, Art K-6th, and now K-6th Technology.
I believe that technology enhances student learning and know that what we learn in class will carry over into projects that students complete in their core academic classes throughout their educational career as well as into their future lives in the “real” world.
The JOCombs Elementary Technology departments are equitable in offering K-6th students time in the computer labs where the students each have a computer unit to use. We focus on introducing students to using digital technology safely and promote collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and creativity skills.
JOCombs rolled out Google Tools in 2015. All K-12 students have Google accounts and use Google Drive to save and manage their documents, allowing them to access their work from any device connected to the Internet. Other GAFE (Google Apps For Education) that we use at the elementary level are; Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Drawing.
